Interviews eTwinning Project

Welcome to our website

eTwinning Project

Project Title:  Jobs & occupations: interviews with interesting people around Europe

Time:  October 2014 – June 2014

Language: English

Students’ Age:  9-12

Main Subjects: English, IT

  • Summary:

This project is about creating an e-learning Moodle website or just a common website. On the website students would put interviews with five different people whose jobs  they find unique, interesting and worth sharing. Two of those interviews would be recorded by digital cameras, three of them would be in a written form with lots of photos (like in a newspaper). We would also create educational materials about different countries (short geography info, history and cultural background), as well as include some basic information about participating schools.

  • Tools:

The majority of communication will be through ICT. We plan to set up a website to collect materials and interviews.

Communication between partners:

- Emails will be used regularly to communicate and exchange information between teachers and pupils.

- Digital cameras will be used in order to record interviews.

  • Objectives and Strategy:

- create Moodle e-learning platform for pupils (using ICT)

- create virtual library of our countries’ project

- explore the subject of Internet safety for pupils as well for parents

- to evaluate practice and adopt successful elements in partnership schools

- to develop and use ICT skills to communicate with schools and motivate children to use ICT as a tool of communication

- to develop pupils' foreign language learning competence

- to develop pupils' communicative competence

Learning a set of skills at school is no longer enough to carry people throughout their life, traditional classroom education or training does not always satisfy all the needs of the new world of lifelong learning.  It is very important to be able to learn and adapt to the new skills  and training that will be required. As learning is shifting from instructor-centered to learner-centered, and is undertaken anywhere, from classrooms to homes, the most popular method of lifelong learning and its cheapest way is the latest update of the technology, creating and using e-learning websites to acquire new qualifications, to improve digital life skills, and skills for life. E-learning, learning via the Internet, provides people with a flexible and personalized way to learn. It offers learning-on-demand opportunities and reduces learning cost. It supports great improvement in interactivity, collaboration, and online education. In this project we would like to show the pupils, the parents, the colleagues the increasingly important role of e-learning and internet communication.

Each school is seen as an equal partner in the project.

Each partner will work to agree deadlines and timetables, ensuring that exchange of project work, planned activities are executed.

Each partner will be in regular communication with the coordinating person.

Each will regularly present outcomes, progress to other partners.
